The Nation's Hub for Electric Vehicle Manufacturing

Arizona is fast becoming known as the U.S. hub for electric vehicle manufacturing with companies such as Lucid, ElectraMeccanica, Nikola, and Atlis having or building major manufacturing operations in the Phoenix-Mesa metro area.

“Arizona is a magnet for auto innovation. We’ve had three EV groundbreakings in the last 16 months, which is incredible. Companies testing their cars at proving grounds in the state include GM, Ford, Toyota, VW, Chrysler, and Nissan. Arizona is also the epicenter of automated driving. Waymo, Cruise, TuSimple, Embark, Intel, and more all have operations here. We hope to continue this momentum.”

LARGE ELECTRIC VEHICLE INDUSTRY CLUSTER

Arizona is already developing a strong electric vehicle industry cluster with headquarters, R&D, manufacturing, and significant supply-chain players already in the marketplace.

"The Greater Phoenix area was a natural choice for our U.S. home, and we're thrilled to become a part of the innovative business community. The region is ripe with potential manufacturing partners and suppliers, and its competitive talent pipeline will support our continued growth. Mayor Giles and the city of Mesa have welcomed our vision and we look forward to building on the city's enthusiasm for electric vehicles. There are a lot of electric vehicle owners in Arizona!"
