Large Education Pipeline

The Phoenix-Mesa metro area is fed by a remarkably large education pipeline. Arizona State University (ASU) alone has nearly 80,000 students enrolled on campus. ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering rank #1 in the nation in undergraduate enrollment for Engineering. ASU has been named America’s Most Innovative School eight years in a row by U.S. News & World Report.

Other Arizona institutions include University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Maricopa Community Colleges, Grand Canyon University, General Assembly, and the Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Institute located at Mesa Community College. Moreover, Mesa is home to ASU Polytechnic campus and an additional nine colleges and universities with more than 40,000 students currently enrolled.

Electric Power – Electrical power is provided by Salt River Project (SRP). SRP is one of the largest and most reliable networks in the nation. Mesa’s Gateway Area, best suited for large manufacturing semiconductor operations, is built to handle business needs of every capacity.

Natural Gas – Southwest Gas is the natural gas provider for the Mesa Gateway Area.

Fiber Optic Telecommunications Network – Redundant lit and dark telecom fiber is in place throughout many areas in the Mesa Gateway Area.
