Workforce Built for Modern Manufacturing

Mesa’s workforce advantage is supported by a strong network of education and training partners aligned with industry needs.

Through partnerships with Arizona State University, including the School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks, plus Mesa Community College’s Arizona Advanced Manufacturing Institute, and the East Valley Institute of Technology, companies can access engineering talent, skilled trades, production workers, customized training, and apprenticeship pathways.

Innovation Starts Here

Mesa’s proximity to Arizona State University gives manufacturers access to research, collaboration, and innovation support.

Companies can benefit from collaboration and support from Arizona higher education institutions with expertise in automation and robotics, materials science, power electronics, prototyping and testing, and advanced systems engineering.

These connections help manufacturers accelerate product development, improve processes, and bring new ideas to market faster.

Operating Advantage

Mesa offers a cost-competitive, business-friendly environment for companies looking to launch, expand, or relocate.

With low taxes, no primary property tax, and tools such as Opportunity Zones, the Mesa Military Reuse Zone, and Foreign Trade Zone #221, Mesa helps companies reduce costs and improve long-term returns.

Manufacturers also benefit from lower operating costs than many coastal markets, a predictable local development environment, sustainability-focused resources, and sites and facilities that support phased growth.

Quality of Life That Supports Talent

Mesa offers the kind of lifestyle that helps employers attract and retain skilled workers.

With attainable housing, outdoor recreation, arts and culture, a growing downtown, and year-round sunshine, Mesa supports long-term workforce recruitment and retention.

For manufacturers, that means a stronger talent pipeline and a more competitive operating environment
